Jonas Salk | 1965 La Jolla, CA | I was chosen as one of 3 UCSD students to be given a tour of the new Salk Institute facilities in La Jolla, as part of a local TV program. The discoverer of the Polio Vaccine was very nice, but distracted, of course. I was really proud to be there that day! | |
